Coco
Welcome, I’m glad you’ve found this space.
My name is Coco (she/her) and I’m a Humanistic counsellor. This means that I value your unique experience and stories to tell, I believe that you can take charge of your own narrative in an unpredictable world, and I aspire to help you feel empowered or simply just heard in whatever journey you’re on. Choosing to talk to someone is a brave and important choice. It is an investment into yourself and well-being, a time to
dedicate to yourself and no one else.
Over the years I’ve become invested in supporting the LGBTQIA community, neurodiverse individuals and sex workers. I have lived experience with these areas and know what it’s like to feel marginalised. I also have experience working with individuals from different races, cultures and religions. My hope is that I can bring a safe and stigma free environment for anyone that comes to this space. You do not need to worry about ‘being queer/gay or trans enough’. Simply questioning or wishing to explore your sexuality or gender is enough to reach out for counselling. Ialso welcome allies or relatives of LGBTQ+ people. I celebrate difference whilst acknowledging the challenges that come from it, as well as recognising my own privilege. Not only can our personal lives be challenging, but the world we live in can make those challenges even harder to navigate. I take into consideration the
oppressive and limiting systemic structures that affect us both collectively and individually in our time together.
I also work as a Bereavement Counsellor in Eastbourne, and I am trained in dealing with grief/bereavement and loss. Before counselling, I supported young people who were neurodiverse and came from disadvantaged backgrounds. I enjoy working creatively and somatically, as sometimes words are not enough to express our experience.
Areas I work with: Identity, sexuality, bi-erasure and bisexuality, gender transitioning, GSRD and polyamorous relationships, neurodivergence, menstrual issues/PMDD, healing from abuse, PTSD, attachment styles, loss/grief, psychosexual problems, supporting sex workers, addictive behaviours, self harm & suicidal thoughts, mind-body connection, family estrangement, anxiety and depression.
